Michelle is a seasoned location-independent entrepreneur who’s been at it for the past six years. Her members fondly call her a “Super Connector” and a “Powerful Facilitator” – titles she’s earned by travelling the world, attending conferences and networking events, and building a strong global community. 

Over these six years, Michelle has hosted over 1,000 entrepreneurs and remote working pros across 35 retreats and 40 networking events worldwide. Educating people on tax, that is what Richard is all about. Either be it the students at the University, the readers of his book or the cliënt seeking advice of Port Sight Tax. He has several years of ‘Big-four’ and ‘Tax Boutique’ experience, before starting Port Sight Tax along with Andreas De Wit. Being a Dutch Ministry-trained tax lawyer, for him it doesn’t matter if it is the Dutch Minister of Finance, his family or business owners looking for help: Andreas is there to support!

Richard will co-facilitate the session “Winning The War For Talent”

In this workshop, we will explore how scaleups can effectively navigate the competitive “war for talent” by using strategic tax planning and employee participation schemes.

We will cover key tax benefits and incentives that can help scaleups offer attractive compensation packages, including employee share plans, profit-sharing, and equity participation.

Suze has been a business owner for 25 years. She started out as a shipbuilding engineer.

Yet, she fought her way through, thriving in business, raising two wonderful children, and maintaining a beautiful marriage. 

Suze understands the invisible ceiling; she knows how lost we can feel, especially when success doesn’t align with our inner feelings. She has experienced how deep we can fall and how we can rise again.

At every stage in business there are challenges to overcome. Yet sometimes, no matter how hard we try, work, fight and do what we think is ‘right’, it seems like an invisible chord is pulling us back. No matter how deeply we understand what is going on, we can’t seem to get past it or fix it. This is very often hidden trauma from before we are 7, that we often don’t even know the story to.

If you want to break through, we need to do something very different. This workshop teaches that!

Getting there

How to get there by public transport?

You can take the train to Kerkrade or Herzogenrath (Germany) train station. From here you can take several buses towards Rolduc Abbey.

Can I rideshare with other participants?

You'll be added to a group chat two weeks before the start of the event, so that ride-shares can be coordinated.

Where can I park?

There is plenty of free parking space at the hotel.

Can I charge my car?

You can recharge the batteries of your car at Rolduc. The hotel has two charging points.

Can I bring a business partner?

As long as your business partner is a shareholder in your business, they can book a ticket.

We currently only offer rooms for single use, so your business partner needs to book their own ticket for a private room.

Can I bring a friend/family member?

If the person you're bringing is a founder, yes.

Is the ticket tax deductible?

You will receive a company invoice for your booking for your administration.

While rules might differ based on the country that your business is registered, generally, your Founders Growth Retreat should be a tax-deductible expense.

If you want to be absolutely certain before booking, check with your own accountant first.

Until when can I book?

Prices increase on December 1st, 2024.
Bookings close on February 28th, 2025.
The earlier you book, the better deal you're getting.

Are there any costs for choosing the payment plan?

No, but remember that your deposit is non-refundable. If you don't finalize your booking by paying the remainder, your deposit will not be refunded.

How can I contribute to the program?

What is the refund policy?

If you can't make it to the retreat, you can cancel your ticket by sending an email to [email protected].

You might also be eligible for a refund:
- Cancel before December 31st, 2024: you get 100% of your ticket refunded
- Cancel before January 31st, 2025: you get 50% of your ticket refunded
- Cancel before March 31st, 2025: get 25% of your ticket refunded
- Cancel after April 1st, 2025: get 0% of your ticket fee refunded

If you book with a payment plan (make a deposit), that deposit is always non-refundable.

Tickets are non-transferrable, unless to a qualified founder (subject to approval, contact us at [email protected] if you'd like to transfer your ticket).
